FEMA’s disaster of its own making keeps getting worse. Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody is suing current and former Federal Emergency Management Agency officials, claiming they “conspired to interfere with the civil rights of Trump voters” in the state by withholding aid in the aftermath of Hurricanes Helene and Milton.

A former FEMA employee fired for instructing subordinates to avoid visiting Florida homes displaying Trump signs says the agency is scapegoating her for its own policy.

A woman who was fired by FEMA after instructing workers to avoid the homes of Trump supporters in Florida revealed that the agency also practiced “avoidance” in the Carolinas.

FEMA earlier this week said it fired an employee who advised her survivor assistance team in Florida to not go to homes with yard signs supporting Trump. FEMA said the matter was referred for investigation to the Office of Special Counsel.
