Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who cancelled his political programmes in poll-bound Maharashtra Sunday to review the Manipur situation, held another meeting Monday with security officials in North Block.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah chaired a high-level meeting on Monday to discuss the ongoing situation in Manipur as the violence in the state escalated. This marked the second consecutive day of deliberations led by the Home Minister on the state’s security concerns.

National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan, and Intelligence Bureau (IB) Director Tapan Deka among other top officials are expected to be present at the high-level meet chaired by Shah.

The discussion centered around the recent developments and challenges in the state and constituting response measures.
